Angelia Pohlman Moore
My name is Angelia Marie Pohlman Moore. I am the granddaughter of John
and Cleo Winkler, daughter of Charlotte Winkler Pohlman.
I am very thankful to the Lord for his many blessings upon my life and for
his saving grace. He showed his mercy upon me and saved me on June 24,
2007. My Mom (a sinner, and backslider on God for 24 years) told me that
God told her to fast for 30 days and he would save her, save me and heal
my Aunt Lorene Padgett who had a allergy to Fish and Nuts, in which she
had almost died several times. She lived on an Eppipen. So my Mom told
me to be ready, of course I said Yeah, whatever. Sure enough she called to
say she got saved on June 23, and asked if I was coming to
church in the morning, and of course I said NO.
The next day the Lord dealt with me all day and all I could do was cry. I
knew what was happening because I grew up in church. So that night I drove
to my Aunt Rene’s house crying and went with them to church. I have no
idea what was preached that night, but at altar call I was at the altar asking
for forgiveness for all I had done and the Lord saved me that night.
I am so thankful for that. I’ve done many things when I was a sinner and let
me tell you nothing compares to the Joy, Peace and Blessings from God.
There is no high from the world that could ever compare to God’s spirit.
When I got saved no one had to tell me how to live, even though I knew the
way of Holiness, because the Lord dealt with me on it. I gave up my jewelry,
my pants, shorts and cutting my hair. I never wore make-up or finger nail
polish so that wasn’t a problem for me to quite doing. The Bible speaks of
all these things and how they are Vanity and of the world.
I am raising my 3 ½ year old daughter the same way that I live in Holiness. I’
ve heard Holiness women say; you shouldn’t force your children to live that
way. These women have their boys in shorts and their girls in pants, with
nail polish and make-up on. I don’t understand that. If its wrong for you
then its wrong for your children also.
The Bible tell us to train up a child in the way it should go and they grow
old they will not depart from it. All I know to do is live by God’s word and
try to help people along the way. I pray that I can be a light to those around
me and be an effective witness for the Lord. I’m going on for God no
matter what. I want to make it to see my John Winker Sr, and to see my
Savior the one who paid the ultimate price and made it possible for me and
everyone to be free from sin. There is nothing in this world worth losing
your should over.
May God Bless.
